Pedal Up! Charinko
Pedal like mad with both thumbs and climb a candy-colored mountain! A bicycle hill-climb race past 30 rivals
AkaoGame No. 3 in my 100 phone games project is "Pedal Up! Charinko" (登ってチャリンコ!). You're a toy-like rider racing a bicycle up a mountain.
OnagaA bike race up a mountain? So you mash a button to pedal?
AkaoActually, you rub your left and right thumbs up and down in turn. It really feels like pedaling: the faster you rub, the faster you go.
OnagaThen just rub flat out the whole way, right?
AkaoDo that and you run out of breath. There are 30 rivals on the slope, and if you ride right behind one, they block the wind and it gets easier. Once you've built up power, you swing out and zoom past.
OnagaSit behind, charge up, then pass. I love that kind of mind game.
AkaoThe last 150 meters before the finish are a final sprint where the harder you rub, the faster you go. Your time stays on the all-time and weekly rankings.
OnagaAlright, I'm gonna be first to the summit!
